It was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/daily\/news\/displaystory.cfm?story_id=14400326&#038;fsrc=nwl\">not<\/a> speculators who drove oil prices.  Not that this will stop the Democrats from saying that it was.<\/li>\n<li>I think it&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/travel\/flights\/2009-09-07-tarmac-delays-passenger-rights_N.htm\">great idea<\/a> to pass a law forbidding airlines from keeping passengers trapped on the tarmac for hours.<\/li>\n<li>What the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theagitator.com\/2009\/09\/11\/texas-decides-elderly-couple-their-finances-now-belong-to-texas\/\">hell?<\/a>  Since when can the government just take over your life because it deems you incompetent?<\/li>\n<li>Legal reform <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052970204731804574387021307651050.html\">modeled<\/a> on healthcare reform.  I love it.<\/li>\n<li>Holy crap, I agree with <a href=\"http:\/\/voices.washingtonpost.com\/ezra-klein\/2009\/09\/why_does_the_government_hate_r.html\">Ezra Klein<\/a>!  The mortgage interest deduction mainly benefits the wealthy.  For many in the middle class, it&#8217;s smaller than just the standard deduction.  Scrap it.  In fact, scrap the entire system and go with a flat tax.<\/li>\n<li>A good rant from <a href=\"http:\/\/ta-nehisicoates.theatlantic.com\/archives\/2009\/09\/balancing_the_white_mans_check_book.php\">Ta-Nehisi<\/a> on racism (or lack thereof)(or something).<\/li>\n<li>Obama is now claiming the stimulus has saved a <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/20090910\/ap_on_go_pr_wh\/us_stimulus_jobs\">million jobs<\/a>.   Given that the unemployment curve is way over the Administration&#8217;s projections, I don&#8217;t think even they believe this.<\/li>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nope.
