Not another <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2009\/11\/04\/carrie-prejean-sex-tape-settlement-miss-california-usa-pagneat\/\">sex scandal<\/a> involving one of these uber-moral conservatives standing against homosexual hedonism?<\/li>\n<li>Wonderful.  The Iraqis are using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/11\/04\/world\/middleeast\/04sensors.html?_r=1\">pseudoscience<\/a> to find bombs.<\/li>\n<li>I agree with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/1109\/29131.html\">Lindsay Graham<\/a>.  The GOP can not get too fixated on ideological purity if they want to become a political force again.  There are many districts, particularly in the northeast, where a hardline conservative can&#8217;t win but a moderate can.  If the GOP runs such moderates, they won&#8217;t get their &#8220;pure&#8221; conservative Congress.  But they will shift the Congressional Gaussian significantly to the right.<\/li>\n<li>The Dems want to put <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnsnews.com\/news\/article\/56572\">nutritional info<\/a> on vending machines.  I guess because putting it in restaurants worked so <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/numbersguy\/study-at-new-york-chain-restaurants-low-income-diners-dont-count-calories-808\/\">well<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Occasionally, the Obama Administration makes me happy.  When they are at least <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/apps\/news?pid=20601087&#038;sid=aBW9kFW3_RP0&#038;pos=9\">acknowledging<\/a> the problems that Sarbanes-Oxley has created, that&#8217;s a good thing.  And more than the last &#8220;pro-business&#8221; Administration did.<\/li>\n<li>I have this crazy idea that one day government will fix problems <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/politicsNews\/idUSTRE5A34YH20091104?feedType=RSS&#038;feedName=politicsNews\">before<\/a> they blow up in our face.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/1109\/29108.html\">Why<\/a> the GOP is still irrelevant.  They can&#8217;t even come up with earmark reform.<\/li>\n<li>Megan McArdle <a href=\"http:\/\/meganmcardle.theatlantic.com\/archives\/2009 s\/11\/revisiting_the_achievements_of.php\">explores<\/a> the idea that the VA is a model for healthcare reform.  The most important point?  The VA provides less than half of the healthcare veterans need and receive.<\/li>\n<li>The New Yorker asks why our murder rate is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/arts\/critics\/atlarge\/2009\/11\/09\/091109crat_atlarge_lepore?printable=true\">so high<\/a>.  I reject all the conventional arguments, which seem to be focus on our not worshiping government enough.<\/li>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What?
