Why are we treating our police forces more and more like military forces &#8212; especially as crime rates fall?<\/li>\n<li>Let&#8217;s unnecessarily <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2008\/05\/20\/AR2008052001117.html?hpid=topnews\">redesign<\/a> our currency to accommodate the blind &#8212; an accommodation, incidentally, they claim they don&#8217;t need.  Why not?  It will only impose a few tens of billions in compliance costs.<\/li>\n<li>Maybe <a href=\"http:\/\/cafehayek.typepad.com\/hayek\/2008\/05\/willie-sutton-a.html\">this<\/a> will stir the academic liberals to reconsider wealth envy.  Mass wants to tax the hell out of universities with big endowments (i.e., Harvard).  I wonder if all the people who support taxes that are targeted specifically at Walmart will get behind this.<\/li>\n<li>Yet <a href=\"http:\/\/freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com\/2008\/05\/19\/shattering-the-conventional-wisdom-on-growing-inequality\/\">more data<\/a> on how the &#8220;growing inequality&#8221; meme is bullshit.  As Levitt notes, the liberals are <i>really<\/i> going to hate this one.  Walmart an globalization are propping us up.<\/li>\n<li>Jesus, this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theagitator.com\/2008\/05\/20\/atlanta-coda\/\">Atlanta thing<\/a> is getting worse each day.
